Will you match or beat another shop's estimate?
Short answer:Labor Only Auto Repair will happily review another shop's estimate with you, but we won't cut corners to hit a lower number. We compete on value and honesty, not on the cheapest quote.
Bring the other estimate in — we'll go through it line by line with you. Sometimes we can match or beat it because we already sourced the part cheaper, or the labor time we estimate is shorter. Other times we can explain why the other quote is missing something important, or is quoting a lower-grade part.
What we won't do is drop to a lower price by installing a part we don't trust or skipping steps we think matter for a lasting repair. If a shop is willing to install any part you hand them at any margin, they're often the same shop that won't stand behind the repair 8 months later.
