Auto repair near Max Starcke Park.
Max Starcke Park is Seguin's flagship park — a scenic 200-acre stretch along the Guadalupe River with a public golf course, walking trails, pavilions, and a low-water dam.

What makes it special
Max Starcke Park was developed in the 1930s along a bend of the Guadalupe River just west of downtown Seguin, and much of its original character — stone bridges, WPA-era pavilions, and mature bald-cypress-lined riverbanks — is still intact.
The park runs along both sides of the river and includes the 18-hole Max Starcke Park Golf Course, a river dam that creates a popular swimming and kayaking pool, pavilions and playgrounds, and miles of shaded walking paths. Locals come here for family reunions, wedding photos, and just about every summer weekend.
The park is named for Max Starcke, a Seguin mayor and later general manager of the Lower Colorado River Authority, whose engineering leadership helped shape the region's parks and river systems.
