Auto repair near Capital Metro Red Line.
The Capital MetroRail Red Line is Austin's commuter rail service, running 32 miles from the Leander Station through Cedar Park, north Austin, and into downtown Austin.

What makes it special
The MetroRail Red Line opened for passenger service in March 2010 as Austin's first modern commuter rail line, running on freight tracks Capital Metro acquired in the late 1980s. It's a 32-mile route with nine stations: Leander, Lakeline, Howard, Kramer, Crestview, Highland, MLK Jr., Plaza Saltillo, and Downtown.
The Leander Station at the north end of the line is the largest, with a huge park-and-ride lot, EV charging, and direct connecting bus service. For Leander and Cedar Park commuters, the train turns what would be a brutal I-35 or MoPac drive into a 60-minute coffee-and-laptop commute into downtown Austin.
Service has been expanded multiple times since opening — more frequent weekday trains, midday service, and weekend service — and remains the only passenger rail option in Central Texas.
