Plum Creek is a large master-planned neighborhood on the west side of Kyle — a New Urbanist-style community with tree-lined streets, front-porch homes, parks, and its own school and golf course.
What makes it special
Plum Creek broke ground in the late 1990s as one of the first master-planned communities in Kyle, and it helped set the tone for the town's decade of rapid growth. The plan drew explicitly from New Urbanist principles — narrower streets, deep front porches, alley-loaded garages, mixed housing types, and a network of parks and pocket squares that make the neighborhood genuinely walkable.
The community includes multiple neighborhood parks, a large amenity center with pools, hike-and-bike trails, and the 18-hole Plum Creek Golf Course. Kids in the neighborhood attend Laura B. Negley Elementary, right inside Plum Creek.
Today it's home to thousands of families, and it's one of the most recognizable neighborhoods along the Kyle stretch of I-35.
