What makes it special
Kalahari Round Rock opened in November 2020 — right in the middle of the pandemic — and immediately became one of the largest resorts in the region. The property spans more than 350 acres at the corner of Kenney Fort Blvd and US-79 and includes 975 guest rooms, a 200,000-square-foot convention center, multiple restaurants, a full spa, and an arcade-and-mini-golf entertainment block.
The headliner is the indoor waterpark: at 223,000 square feet, it's the largest in Texas and stays a comfortable 84°F year-round, so it works just as well in February as it does in July. There's also an outdoor waterpark for warm-weather visits.
Because Kalahari has become a regional convention magnet, you'll find a lot of out-of-town drivers on US-79 the weekend of a big event — and a lot of them end up at our shop when something pops up on the drive home.
