Home of the Cougars, Jarrell High School serves the fast-growing Jarrell ISD community with strong athletics, fine arts, and CTE programs.

What makes it special
Jarrell High School is the flagship campus of Jarrell ISD, one of the fastest-growing school districts along the I-35 corridor north of Georgetown. The current campus has expanded multiple times over the last decade to keep up with the boom in new families moving into Sonterra and the surrounding neighborhoods.
Athletically, the Cougars compete in UIL and have built a real reputation in football, baseball, softball, and cross country. Friday-night home football games are a genuine small-town Texas experience — the whole community turns out, the band travels with the team, and the concession line stretches around the stadium.
Beyond sports, Jarrell High has a growing fine-arts program and career-and-technical-education pathways that tie into employers along the I-35 corridor and out toward the Samsung Taylor campus.
