Auto repair near Bastrop State Park.
Bastrop State Park is a 6,600-acre Texas state park preserving the Lost Pines forest, with cabins, a swimming pool, golf course, and miles of hiking trails through recovering pine woodland.

What makes it special
Bastrop State Park was established in 1933 and developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. The CCC cabins, refectory, and stone walls that still stand were built by hand from local materials — so well, in fact, that the park is listed as a National Historic Landmark specifically for its CCC-era architecture.
The park's defining feature is the Lost Pines forest — a 70-square-mile stand of loblolly pines geographically separated from the main East Texas pine belt by about 100 miles. The Bastrop County Complex Fire in September 2011 burned roughly 96% of the park, and the reforestation effort that followed is one of the most ambitious post-fire restoration projects in Texas state-park history.
Visitors can stay in CCC-era cabins, hike the Lost Pines Trail, swim in the historic pool, or play the on-site 9-hole golf course built in 1936.
